For privacy purposes, the cross-domain service is normally restricted to the domains of a single data controller (media owner). With the Teavaro WP Personalisation Plugin, you also get Marketing Identity Resolution solution, Real-Time Data Activation, and Google Analytics integration.
The user identification service enables you to create your own ID Graph, including all site visitors and customers identified through login. Login identification requires access to some customer identifier, for example hashed email, which can be via session, local storage or data layer.
A User is a distinctly identified site visitor or authenticated customer.
A visitor is anyone coming to your site and consenting to marketing / personalisation cookies.
A customer starts as visitor, but then becomes a customer for example through login identification.
Each User has a distinct Universal Marketing ID (UMID) connected with one or many (if customer across multiple devices) 1st party server cookie(s), also known as Universal Marketing Device ID (UMDID).
The UMID is used for the monthly User count.
Data Activation consists of data derived from the user’s device, for example device type, browser, as well as IP address location and provider. A client-side JavaScript can be used to set and manage your targeting attributes in fcData local storage key yourself. For advanced data activation see options above.
